About Me
Hi, my name is Austin Jarrett. I’ve been a runner now for 10 years and enjoyed running about Cannock Chase, the forest near my home. I really love to run. In 2012, I decided a needed a serious challenge. 2014 will see my 50th birthday, I need to get fitter in preparation for entering the second ‘half Century’ of my life, and I also had the need to raise some money for charity. But I’m also curious to see what I’m really made of.
So I entered the ‘ Marathon Des Sables’ on the 13th June 2012, when entries were first being accepted for the 2014 Desert Race (Yes it’s nearly a two year waiting list and all places were taken within two hours of opening!)
All the money I raise through sponsorship will be going to my nominated charities below. I am paying all my own expenses for this adventure
